Thinking of trading my 996 Turbo for S55..Am I crazy?
I was just kicking it around, getting bored with the Porsche. I will hang onto it for a while longer, maybe mod it some more so it feels fast again. When the new S63/S65 get down low enough in price maybe think about it again.
I agree the S55 looks dated, but the 996 Turbo is even older, doesn't it look dated too?

I doubt that 99% of the gen pop can identify different Porsche models without looking at the tag on the back.
If you're getting the S-class, at least get the S600. It costs the same as S55 but is twice as fast in the real-world. S55 will be painfully slow, even with chip and pulley, it will have a hard time braking 13's. S600, is on a whole another level, it is capable of low 11's with only ecu tune. How much would it take to get 996 to run this fast in the 1/4 mile?! Much more than ecu tune
!!!
!!!
get a 04 plus s600 its got dvd base navi and more reliable, make sure you get one with a certified warranty and pay extra to get the full 3yr/100k warranty its like 3500 extra well worth it. then get a renntech ecu/tcu THERE
