I realize that the C63 is lighter and handles better...but which is quicker from a roll? I've read conflicting reports.

Also, does the E63 have any luxury advantages over the C63 other than interior room...or are the interior amenities essentially the same?

I have no idea who is faster from a roll but the E63 does have interior advantages. The E63 has alcantara headliner, panoramic roof, more interior leather on trim and better use of chrome/shiny plastic trimings. The C63 feels rather cheap with all the plastic, especially in the dash area, and the cloth mesh headliner.

I think the C63 has a better steering wheel and I know the interface on the navigation system in the c63 is superior as of right now. But in 2009, the interface of the E63 will be updated.

 

Get a loaded C63 performance package:

Good CLK63 BS seats standard, lighter weight, feels more connected to the road, springs (c63 vs air suspension on the E-class), cheaper and for the difference you can modify it up to 542hp for around 14,000 usd.

 

How about a Certified E55. (As you know, with a few minor tweaks, those cars can fly)

 

Those modified E55's can do alot more than just fly.

 

E55 is the best route...more parts to choose from, built 03'-06' so plenty of time for refinements in electrical issues and mechanical were addressed...

but i love the +07' body style with the pointed front end, gills in the headlights, LED taillights...
