I opened the glove box on my 2006 E55 AMG yesterday and it just dropped down very rough and bounced a few times before settling into position...

I don't remember it being like this, but thought it would drop down somewhat soft as though it was using a hydraulic release...

Does anyone know if it's broken or if this is the way it's supposed to come down... I would be very shocked to find out if that's the case - My other cars all flow down softly, this one just plops on down

My car is due for service in the next 20 days so i want to know if i should include this for the warranty to fix - Thanks!

 

Based on the memory of the ones I've detailed, they don't drop like they're on hydraulics. It shouldn't drop down like a Datsun either It should be smooth and somewhat slow on the way down. Have the dealer check it out.

 

Not hydraulics per say a Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal, lol - But a fluid slow release

I'll make a note of it when i take it in
