A buddy of mine who drives Hwy 84/Hwy 1 between La Honda and Half Moon Bay swears he's seen two SLSs during his commute, a silver one and a black one. Possible? From readings, I understand there not even on the showroom until May '10.

 

probably factory owned cars given that your friend saw 2 of them. there are some good roads near the area so I'd not be surprised.

 

A friend of mine spotted a silver SLS in Monterey a couple weeks ago, AutoWeek just had an SLS on the cover that they were testing on the CA Coast (I sure the same car that my friend saw).

 

MB had an AMG Driving Experience event at Laguna Seca a few weeks back. It was the first official MB event to have the SLS available for potential customers to drive around the track. A friend of mine attended it. I think it was $2,500 for 2 days. Other cars that were available to test: CLK 63 Black Series, new E63, C63, S63, SL63.

They flew in 16 SLSs from Germany for the event.

 

Couple of weeks ago they were taking pictures of a SLS next to the light house in Pacific Grove. My parents happened to be golfing at the time as they stumbled upon it. Pretty jealous I didn't get to see it.
