CLK 63 Black Series - front fender to door fit?

I'd appreciate hearing from other CLK 63 Black Series owners re the fit of your front fender edges (top to bottom) where they meet the front door. Each of my fenders along the entire edge are 'out' about 1/8" from being flush with the door edge, and I seem to recall that my earlier Black Series had the same issue. I'd appreciate anyone with a 'Black' taking a look at theirs and reporting back. I want to have them corrected (car is still under warranty) and want to get a sense if this is a common fit issue with the composite fenders. Thanks!

ChuckZ is infamous around these parts
Mine has the same issue. I don't think it's uncommon with the CLK63 BS. Never considered it a warranty issue but if you take it in and there is a reasonable fix (fix creates an issue worse than the current panel fit) I'd appreciate any follow up info.

Mine are flush with the door at the top third of the fender and then right around the 6.3 fender emblem stick out about 1/16". Nothing noticeable enough that I would bother to try to fix.

Same here. The plastic part bulges out slightly but is bilaterally very even. I would not be concerned with it. Like already said, the fix can be worse.

The top part adjacent to the side mirror base is perfectly even and the alignment everywhere else is very good. I would think that if the mid section is flattened out, some other section will be off.

Personally, I kind of like the way it fits, as it reminds me for some strange reason that the front fenders are of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

Black Series fenders - thanks

Thank you to all who responded. I watched a guy yesterday from a distance 'hold court' at my car (that was in a local MBCA concours event in Maryland) with sighting down the sides of the car, waving his arms, encouraging others to look, blah, blah, blah. I asked one of attendees later what they guy was up to...seems he was trying to convince everyone who would listen that my car had been in a terrible accident because of the discussed front fender to door panel fit. Probably the same guy from a year ago at another local event who grabbed a friend of mine who was standing at my car while I was away with the same story of my car having been in an accident. I have no idea what this guy's agenda is, but it is annoying given that neither of my two Black Series has suffered even a door ding, much less an 'accident'. I don't need "Mr. Helper" anywhere near a concours judge .
