Extended warranty on gl550

Extended warranty on gl550
I was quoted 5k for an additional 3yr/100k on a brand new 2010 GL550. I think this is quite high or is it a reflection to the quality of truck Mercedes builds? Anyone have good luck with third party warranties? Thanks for the input.

On a used 2010 gl550 I was quoted $1600 to CPO it with 1 additional year of warranty. $18xx for 2 additional years, and $2500 for 3 additional years of warranty or 100k miles. This is alot better than the original offer I got. These dealers are really hush hush about pricing on warranties. I have left messages with several dealerships and have yet to get a call back!
