Anyone on here previously owned both of these cars? I'm currently in the market and while I realize they're completely different machines, would love some input from people who had the same thoughts...

As some background, my last car was a heavily modified 996 C4s and everyday I drove it, I had a huge grin from ear to ear. My concern is a lack of a manual might be boring. Anyone ever taken a CLK63 BS to the track?

If I went 997s, it would probably be a 2007-2008 and modifications would include coilovers, wheels, and a few other little things. A BS would probably stay stock.
