2008 CLK 63 AMG Black. Values, issues and thoughts

Shopping for a 2008 CLK 63 AMG Black. Nice report on Top Gear, just
wondering if there are any owners out there with input? Looks like it was
138k or so new with quite a few standard items. Any other options, issues
with the trans etc……..

Thanks,
RD

There have been reports that the traction control is not entirely circumventable at the track. But otherwise its a solid car, low mile cars still bring big money. If you don't mind some miles you can save a good bit of cash.

Very few cars that are not black or silver. White seems to bring a premium at least when I was shopping for them a year or so back.

Lots of good info there from the owners. Have had mine for over a year and enjoy it. Essentially, a modern day muscle car but with the ability to corner and brake.Tires are an expensive consumable. No options as I recall; iPod integration, maybe. No issues with the transmission other than you'll probably wish it was a manual or shifted faster. One goodpiece of recent news regarding the transmission - apparently some tuners have been able to incorporate a rev matching throttle blip feature that was not present in the car when it left the factory. As others have mentioned, red and white normally command a premium.
