I have been pondering buying a CLS 55. Should I wait for the 63?
Anyone know when it will be released?

 

i have heared they will be released by end of april 06

 

And i think it's well worth the waiting.. Go for the 63..

 

the 55 engine is always gonna be more US street friendly. it's all about low-end torque since we have no where to go above 100mph. the only selling point is the 7 speed tranny. drove the CLS500 with it & it's great, smooth, but have seen few failed too.

 

Summer 06 - I may trade my CLS55 for it.

I'm sure kleemann or renntech will come up with a s/c or osmething for the 63 which will bring the torque up way higher than the 55. AMG is moving away from the s/c's for some reason. The 63 is also a higher revving engine and is the first engine designed by AMG from the groound up so you know its good!

 

Robert, trade it in before the 63 comes so that you get more money for it..

 

Sell it befor the 63 comes out so it wont depreciate that much

 

Any idea what MSRP is gonna be on the CLS 63 AMG? And what about performance numbers (0 to 60 and 1/4 mile)?

From what I've been told from MBZ it will not happen in 2006, we just changed our order to a CLS55, I inquired about the 63 when doing so.

(the new V8 should be interesting, how fun are monster benzs without a blower?)

I'm really itching for the S65AMG after going to Detroit, but for the same price I can pick up a Flying Spur.
