Anybody here going? I'm heading there Monday for pics and some vids. Tuesday and Wednesday I'm on the track.

 

A few pics. Drove a lot of the models on the track, but not enough seat time in any one to get anything really good out of it. 2-3 laps is frustrating. Autox was fun. Hot laps in the SLR with a pro driver at the wheel was awsome. CLK63 impressed me the most, very hot on the autox course.

These were tricky to drive. One lap of understeer, over steer, and one light on front and back. Almost like driving on ice.

The SLR engine. Don't think it would fit in my SL55.

We started with carting. Looks like fun but those suits we fakking hot hot hot. Got out completly soaked with sweat in the 90 degree heat.


Skid control. Drive through course with two puddles, with and without ESP. I murdered a lot of cones on this one. There were two puddles, but I soon found the whole course was wet from the other cars.


Wet drifting. This was harder than it looked.

I ran into pro driver Tommy Kendall at the Challenge. I was shooting some vids and he stopped his car and got out.
