In need of desperate help with R129 Part numbers

Hi everyone... I have two part numbers that I need help with. They are both control units but I don't have a clue what the difference is betweent the both of them

. Can someone please tell me what their functions are? I've tried calling Mercedes Benz parts and service departments in 3 different continents already but non were helpful in explaining to me what both of the part numbers do. They were only able to tell me that they're control units and nothing else. Here are the two part numbers.

1) MAS Control Unit - part number 0125454832 (US$451.00)
2) ??? Control Unit - part number 0125450732 (US$1,802.00)

Thanks a bunch guys and I hope someone can help me out here.
