and 1 broke down and AMG refuses to fix it, or so I read somewhere not that long ago!

The 5 CLK-GTR Roadsters were built by H.W.A. GmbH ( www.teamamg-mercedes.de ) technically.

H.W.A. is fully owned by Mercedes. H.W.A. also built the five CLK GTR SuperSport models. The SuperSport models had the same 7.3 L V12 as the Zonda.

The 25 CLK GTR coupes were built in house by AMG with the help of Ilmor Engineering ( www.ilmor.co.uk ). Mercedes bought out Ilmor fully in 2005.
