C55 Value ???

What are the chances the value of my 2006 C55 will plumet any lower than it already has after the new model arrives? $40k value from $61k msrp is already a huge loss in less than a year and I don't think I could stomache any more depreciation. Luckily I paid invoice, but I am thinking of bailing early on MB. It has been the worst buying experience ever. We just bought a new Cayenne S and love it. No issues or BS. My major question is this, do I get out now or drive it for a few more months until we pick up the Gallardo thinking it can't get much worse? We want to purchase a Gallardo, but wanted to wait til around summer time. But, with the new C lurking, I am losing sleep over what is the best thing to do... Any insight would be great and I'm not trying to hurt anyones feeling's. It's just that my experience hasn't been so pleasant with MB. Thanks for reading...

I feel your pain bro...All cars depreciate for the most part, thats why I lease to let the bank eat it. These benzes drop like a rock, my 2000 E55 is worth less than 20K and I paid 72.9K for it in 6/01 My current car stickered for 138K new in 05, the owner put over 10K into it in aftermarket parts, so after tax he was 150K+ into it and I just bought it for 70K The way to play benzes game back at them is not to buy new, let it take a good hit on depreciation and then lease and dump it on them at the end of the lease, then repeat.

DrivenAgain- Thanks for the tip. I am very surprised it has lost as much value as it did. Cars generally aren't investments, but this was far bigger of a loss than planned. I think I will just keep it until I trade it in for a Gallardo in the summertime and at least take the tax break. I love the car, so it's not like I'm miserable driving it....

Mine is through Mercedes Benz Financial but there are many others who offer used car leases.

I've seen some clean low mileage C55's go for mid 30's, the c63 should be a beast. I'd dump it now if it's not a car you want to keep for a few years.

Not sure which cars your seeing for low 30's, but I'm guessing they aren't 06's with nav, etc... $38k-$40k is wholesale around here. If your seeing loaded 06's for that low, I'm thankful I don't live in your area.
