Custom Fabricated Exhaust

The next step for me was exhaust, I have been working on different designs for a while and my research has landed me with this current setup. I took out the stock resonators, mufflers and tips, its was all 2.75". I replaced it all with 3" mandrel bent piping and a straight thru muffler with true 3" tips. This was not done for aesthetics or sound, although it looks and sounds awesome it was done strictly for a performance gain. Peak to peak HP gain was 15rwhp but under the curve the max gain was 32rwhp!!

looks great man. Still confused as to how you're getting the 1/4 numbers you are with only a tuned ecu/tcu and exhaust. No other hardware mods?!

To show before and after gains, thats all. Since you went through the trouble of dynoing it why not show off the great gains from just an exhaust upgrade.

That car looks so much better than it did on arrival day!
Who did the exhaust, a local shop or chain store?

Is the A/F programmed differntly on the turbo v. s/c engines? Mine just flat lines at 10 - maybe a tune is in order. You thin your guy wants to do a 55 one off?

I had it done by a local shop that does all types of fabrication. FYI i dont want this "out" on mbworld yet. I have been aproached by a tuner to possibly assist in rolling out some exhaust designs. An exhaust for the 55 will need to be a bit smaller and designed totally different as u have 2 sets of cats with an hpipe i believe. Please email me underside pics of your car from the cats back and we can go from there. If u dont have an ECU tune now, email me and ill get u one at a decent discount.

I'm not a fan of the one size fits all flash.
I'm holding out for that one off tune that certain people have.
