Question WTB: GSM Smart Phone

Looking for a Treo 650 GSM or Sony p910 GSM. Would be open to other models. Needs to be compatible with Cingular network.

Let me know.

if you want a p910 for cingular, make sure you get a p910a, the A model has 850 band.

i sent u a pm

hi.my friend .tri7even.
maybe this can help people for whoever want a p910

p910 is a tri-band phone.p910i or p910 a.or there is p910ia or something..they are all tri-band.
and i think cingular use 1900 GSM only now.so any one of sony p910 can be used as cingular.even with an previouse locked phone, cant unlock for 15-30 bucks.
the differents between them just where they from.so just different version.the one from asia cost more, because they have chinese input.and some other software/
i have a p910i and p910a both of them can work with cingular or t-mobile.

cingular use both the 1900 and 850, you're gonna be crippled in some part of the nation if you don't use an 850 band with cingular.

cingular used 850 about 3 years ago..and then when they first have the GSM,then that time they have 850 and GSM 1900.now its getting less the 850.because new customer will have 1900 band.for at&t uses 1900 too..as a fact cingular took over at&t.so now i believe they have 1900 in the whole nation..

you are right.i didnt mean there are no cities use 850 as cingular.but all i am saying is almost all the city have 1900 band of GSM from cingular.so getting a tri-band phone is a key to use at cingular...because cingular has the GSM now.sure they will still have the cdma for a period of time.
