***Very Important Message About The Watch Collector***
For the last 5 years or so I have been dealing watches through a network of clients. I sponsored 6speed over the summer as I have received some watch business here and it was the thing to do. Shortly after I was approached by a member to make me a website. I said I was not interested since I conducted all of my business via phone and with a dedicated group of customers. He insisted on making one and that instead of payment he would get "store credit" with me towards a watch that he wanted. I reluctantly agreed.
As you all know my domain is "thewatchcollectorny.com" since I have been known online as "The Watch Collector" by my suppliers and customers for years. This person registered the name watchcollector.biz for the new site he created. I agreed to forward my domain to this one and upload my inventory specials and other brands which I dealt in.
Without boring you with the details of what transpired in the last few days, the relationship turned sour and we agreed to part ways. What I do not agree with is the fact that this person now wishes to compete with me by pulling the rug and using the name which I have built a reputation under "The Watch Collector" by using the domain which he registered similar to mine, the layout of the site which I pointed to for the last few months and promoted to my clients and friends and the ethics and relationships which I have built through it or by finding out today that this person emailed my past contacts and clients to solicit business while telling them "WE now have new suppliers".
I am not writing this in order to make someone else look bad, but rather so that you guys understand that I no longer have any relationship or anything to do with "www.watchcollector.biz" nor is that domain a sponsor of this board. Anyone who wishes to contact me for any reason or to do business with me can do so via the phone number in my signature or the email there. I am in the process of building a new and improved site to act as a catalog for my customers.
