Can anyone point me at a good deal on a Nikon D80? With or w/o lenses is ok. I've seen them as cheap as $450 at NYC camera stores, but I am less than comfortable dealing with thos guys via credit card, sight unseen.

check out BH Photo at www.bhphotovideo.com. They have good prices and are reputable. I purchased a whole Canon 30D outfit from them. No hassles at all.

 

450 seem much too cheap. i would expect a lot more from a reputable place, and may be worth the money to ensure you get a good product.

 

yeah..$450 is a SCAM....its an imported camera..no USA warranty, then they sell you each part of the camera seperately when it should be included totaling the same or MORE than MSRP...like charger, battery, strap, software, manuals, etc...then shipping is outrageous....check it out CAREFULLY....deal with B&H, Adorama, or KEH....or Samys.....Those are all reputable places....Also those Brooklyn NYC places are all ONE PLACE...they have the same or similar adresses and are just warehouses...not even storefronts....They are notorious for being ripoffs and scam artists....DO NOT give them your CC number...The D80 will cost you $999 give or take 100 bucks....camera only...Its too new of a camera to see big discounts and supply is low...

450 is way way too cheap

 

The cheapest ive seen is around 900. 450 is a great deal or a scam, I am loking to buy one right now. If anybody has thenm for less I want one
