Hey guys,

Ive had my d50 for a while with the unremarkable 28-80 kit lens. I'm ready to move up a little (not too much while im in school). I'm looking for any of the following lenses:

50mm 1.8
18-70mm
70-300mm VR
Possibly the 18-200mm vr.

I am also open to third party lenses if you have a decent copy. Also since I'm new to this, you may offer something else that I may like. I'm going to europe in a month and I would like to have a good lens or two to bring with me. Also in need of a cheaper tripod. Thanks.

Get the 18-200 and be done with it. If you still want the 50 1.8 buy it new its like $100 not worth looking for a used one.

 

I really want the 18-200 but I dont know that I can justify 750-800. If I could get one at 600 or less I would consider it. I hate not having money in grad school.
