Bump for this. I'm a UMD alum and was very active in CPT for the past few years. Graduated last year after helping organize and run the biggest show the school and the area have ever seen. It's only going to be bigger this year and we'd love to see a bunch of super high performance cars and elite customs that I know are on this site.

I know the OP is a newbie on these forums, as am I, Lax01 is also a CPT alum and Scott in SS is a good friend of mine that can vouch for this show. Come out and have a good time and see some badass cars for charity. Grab some cheap food and enjoy the day. We've had perfect weather and a perfect show the past 2+ years so come be a part of one of the biggest and fastest growing shows on the east coast.

May I also announce that we will be introducing, for the first time, the CPT Models, courtesy of my girlfriend who runs her own modelling group. So be sure to look out for the pretty young ladies sporting College Park Tuning outfits.

This thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. I would highly suggest getting there earlier, as traffic getting into the area gets really insane. It's quite a sight though, an endless line of car enthusiasts...

yeah thats true, it will take you 15 mins to get to the comcast lot if you come in through the route 1 entrance. last year and the year before were both pretty crazy. i guess this will be the one time where i don't drive my accord to school, and instead, i take the 335i there since there are a lot nicer cars to key than mine, so i don't have to be as worried ...and since when did we get models 0_0 haha

this is what the traffic jams should look like....(these are from last years spring 07 meet)

what do you mean by there are a lot nicer cars to key than yours. That worries me honestly. Not going if that is the kind of stuff that happens there.

I wouldn't drive the 335i there every day, but for a show I am. I'm just saying that cars have been stolen and I hope a stock 335i wont get much attention rather than a silver SLR Mclaren or a lambo/ferarri. Your car will be fine, its not a honda so i doubt anything will happen to it.

Berk don't worry...College Park Tuning has requested twice as many police officers as last year...nobody is going to steal or damage anyone else's property...

I think he's talking about during the course of a normal day there...though I left my Volvo in the garage for weeks on end and it never got molested...

Nothing will happen this year. All the Honda guys got bent out of shape because a civic got stolen and supposedly another car. Not sure what went down or anything, but we had one cop on duty last year and I've heard we are going to have 7 this year. With the cars some of you have, there are always going to be dozens of people looking at them, so you shouldn't have to worry about anyone tampering and not getting noticed.

yeah I don't think the getting noticed part is what I am looking for b/c I am there for the passion behind the automobile and seeing everyone's creativity with their vehicles regardless of make, model, Cost $$$, etc. I'm sure there'll be hondas worth more than my car. The point is safety and respect.

I'm probably not going to be around that weekend anyway, but would love to see all the pix from the event. I'm sure it'll be great.
