Brake job

The stealership said I needed new pads all the way around on my Land Rover for the low price of $815.00. Any good places in the NOVA area that might be alittle cheaper. I live in Fairfax.

I will assume that the cost of rotors is not included in that price. I don't know which model you have but, if it's just a pad replacement then the parts -pads and sensors should run you around 300. Brake pads aren't very hard to replace.

I keep my costs down by buying my parts and going to a shop to put them on or agree to a price to have them put on. Something to consider.

Very few shops will install customer supplied parts.

$300 would cover the cost of the pads........NO LABOR.

Why is it that people think techs don't deserve to earn a living?

That is true, not many places will do that, install customer supplied parts. It just so happens that the owner is a friend and I really like to do my own work (I do compensate for the use of his space ) Nothing against anyone earning a living too.

Chris
