Serpentine Belt Replacement Serpentine Belt - Recommend doing it yourself
I wanted to take a moment and share with Mid-Atlantic... replacing the serpentine belt on your 996 Turbo or Non-Turbo is a breeze.
I do not have pictures and replaced mine yesterday in about 20 minutes and had to do so as two of my ribs split off of the OEM belt and threw two codes (P1250 and P0442). Luckily, the belt stayed intact so I wasn't left stranded.
Called around to some vendors for pricing and ended up finding a belt for $36.00, install time calls for an hour labor and this can be done a lot quicker than an hour.

Heck I do everything myself. Anyone up for a bbb day, brakes bbq and beer? We could do daily drivers or sportscars. Unless you've got pccb's or crazy stuff I have all the tools for pad/rotor swaps and bleeding fluid. Or any light maintenance for that matter - this belt on the 996 would be a cool one. Serp's on most cars don't take long, prpbaby less time than a brake swap!
