who would be interested in seeing a Sundance festival award winning dcumentary on Ayrton Senna. This critically aclaimed documentary runs about 1hr 44mins and is noted to be one of the premier accounts of his life and the legacy of the best (in my opinion) driver to EVER walk the face of the planet.
It is showing in select theatres around the country and is available in DC at the Landmark Theatre opening on the 19th and running thru Monday the 22nd for now (limited screening days - with several shows per day). The theatre is metro accessible or we can cruise down there and get parking, it's right by gallery place/chinatown
I am thinking Sunday afternoon or earely evening or Monday after work.
check out the trailer and the official website...

the first order of business is coming up with a time that works for the group...what do you guys think of a day/early evening (say between the hrs or 4 to 5 pm) showing?

I would love to take a drive to see this movie. However, since we are ending Ken's drive in my neck of the woods (south-central PA) I doesn't make sense to drive back to DC for the movie and then back up to PA.
Bummer, but next time I'm in!

haha! Well, I'm going to the Uk for a few weeks starting Thurs....but yes, you're right...I'll just have to watch it later.
Don't know that it will be playing again...this is a Sundance award winning documentary shot on budget using a good deal of stock footage aggregate...they are showing it on a very limited basis to possibkly get it picked up by a larger distribution house - in which case it *may* be re-cut/edit and re-released but in most cases docs like this go straight to private licensed limited DVD distribution or get picked up my syndicated TV (i.e Speed Channel) but a re-release (original version or directors cut as it's called) would be rare.
