PCA Chesapeake Challenge- Anyone going?

Stumbled upon this today and haven't seen anything anywhere on this event. Anyone plan to attend? Sounds like it could be a nice setting for pics or even just a cruise to the coucours. I don't plan to register and stay for the day but would like to make this a stop if this could pan out for an activity. If it doesn't turn into a group think I will most likely take the fam up and have lunch at theharbor or something.

Any thoughts?

The Chesapeake Region invites all PCA members to attend the 42nd Chesapeake Challenge, the oldest running PCA multi-day event. Registration is now open and can only be done on line at http://www.clubregistration.net/ This outstanding multi event weekend will be held on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, the 23rd at the spectacular Silo Point, formerly a B&O Railroad grain elevator, named best high-rise development in the Americas by the International Property Awards. It is easily accessible located near Fort Mc Henry at 1200 Steuart Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230. Silo Point offers an incredible setting for Saturday’s events with outrageous views of the Baltimore Skyline. http://www.silopoint.com/html/
On Saturday the 22nd, there will be a formal Concours for the diehard car fanatics, an informal People’s Choice car show, a Gimmick Rally and Tech Quiz that all can join in and enjoy! This will be followed by ****tails in the Silo Point Penthouse, a dinner extravaganza and awards in the new restaurant on the premises Silo.5. For directions to Silo Point, please click on the link: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...euart%20Street

In addition to taking in all of the sites at Silo Point, special guest vendors will be in attendance offering their experience and expertise for all Porschephiles. Meguiar’s Rod Kraft will be on hand to share his knowledge as the National Paint Finishing Consultant. Mike Lambert of The Shine Shop and Eric Leonard of Dealer Goodies will be available to share detailing tips as well as have Meguiar’s products for sale. These are just a few of the merchants that will be joining in this Porsche fanatic weekend. Please check the website frequently for an updated list of merchants that will be on hand during this event.

On Sunday, for those of you who enjoy pushing your Porsche to its limits, we will have an autocross on the 23rd to be held at 2001 Kloman Street, Westport, MD. 21230. This large unobstructed lot is located less than 4 miles from Silo Point. Claude Taylor and his team promise to chart a challenging course for all who attend. To register for the autocross, please follow the link:

I'm going on Sat...might enter the GT2 in the concourse, don't think they will like my tint, headlight, or tail light treatments hahaha lol! but would be fun anyway.

Silo point is awesome, the place they are talking about is a very cool spot with great views of the city and nice open air spot for cars and pics...and the restaurant is the tops...and it's close to Canton so it's an easy trip over lol...

Should be a fun event...planning on this for Sat and then Sunday we have the PA Amish lunch trip event... looking to be a full weekend!

It's an inquiry relating to a PCA event from the Chesapeake Region. I'm in the Chesapeake Region...and the event is close to me...why wouldn't I reply to this thread?
