I have plotted a route from Bob Evans on Padonia Rd to the Plain & Fancy in Bird-in-Hand, PA. In order to arrive at the Plain & Fancy by 1pm we will have to leave the Bob Evans by 11am sharp. This is a completely back roads route and should be a lot of fun. Let me know if you're in to meet at Bob Evans off Padonia Road. I will start the list:

Hey Bull, I'll probably do the back roads run with you from Bob Evans but was curious about the end point. Evan set the first meeting point at the Dunkin Donuts in Linglestown, PA and then cruise from there to Plain and Fancy. I just want to make sure I'm clear that your route is directly to the Plain and Fancy restaurant with no stops in between or if you planned to stop in Linglestown on the way up.

 

Bull - what part of MD are you in? Are you driving around Rt 40 in Ellicott City a lot? I keep seeing Panamera in your color.

 

Evan meets the people from PA at the Dunkin Donuts which is N of I-81 and Harrisburg, PA and is WAY out of the way for people coming from MD. So I have put together a really nice back roads route to the Plain and Fancy that has us arriving about the same time as the group from the Dunkin Donuts.

I'm also going to send an email out tonight inviting all the Crash Test Dummies (regular Bull Run attendees) so they can take part in the run to Bird-in-Hand.

 

Probably my wife because she likes to shop in Ellicott City.

There are many different ways to take part in the drives/cruises/runs going to and from this event so Ill clarify all the options and you are each welcome to pick which ever suits you best

The drives TO the Plain & Fancy Restuarant are as follows, for each location::

For those from anywhere West or South of Harrisburg/Lancaster (ex: MD/VA/DC/York, etc) YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS!

Your first option, and the most spirited drive would be to drive direct, no highways or pitstops. Ken 'Bull' has put together a back road route to leave from the
Bob Evans:
400 West Padonia Road
Timonium, MD 21093
at 11:00am sharp to cruise directly to the Plain & Fancy Restaurant to arrive at 1:00pm to meet the rest of the group.


Your second option is to cruise (highways) up with the group, staring at Car & Coffee which meets regularly on Sunday starting at 8:00am, in Fairlakes:

All those who planned on meeting at Katie's Coffee House as the first stop for the Virginia cruise, you are still welcome to but are advised to meet at the Fairlakes location since there will be a Cars & Coffee event going on there anyways... the group will depart from Fairlakes around 9:45am (tenatively, so please be there by no later than 9:15am, just to be sure)
to head North to meet up with a seperate group gathering at Maple Lawn:

For all those cruising from East of Lancaster (ex: Philadelphia, NJ, DE, etc)

There is no official routes planned, although I know that there are groups cruising together that will each drive direct to the Plain & Fancy Restaurant for 1:00pm, to meet with everyone.

That said, I know there are, at the very least, 10 cars coming from the East, and although I personally wont be leading a cruise, if someone would like to set up a meeting point in say, West Chester, PA, I know there is a small group coming from there and that this location would be ideal for most.

Everyone has the option to drive their own route... basically you are all welcome to do your own thing! If you want to cruise by yourself, go for it, or just go the way you want, anything is fine! Just meet by 1:00pm at the Plain & Fancy Restaurant

Lastly from the Plain & Fancy there is a short (5.9 mile, 6 minute) scenic drive to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum! Taking into consideration the fact that alot of you will have driven a pretty good distance to get to the Plain & Fancy Restaurant, I wanted to give everyone the option, after lunch is over, to cruise on last (very short) drive, with the entire group, to the railroads at Strasburg and the PA Railroad Museum. I was there just the other day and it was a beautiful backdrop to park our cars (they have more than enough parking for all of us and trust me it is ideal for some amazing pics of our cars... overall this was something I found to be unique and is an option I wanted to make available to everyone. You can stay for 5 minutes or a few hours, its entirely up to you, but I strongly suggest that everyone join in.

Awesome thanks for the updates!!! Please talk Jovian into bringing the Carrera GT that would be epic to get to cruise with him lol all the same the ZR1 will do just fine, as will any Ferrari lol

 

Ken's exactly right, it would be outta the way to hit up the DD meet, plus by driving straight to the Plain & Fancy he wont have to stop along his run... YEP YEP... was just there on Sunday to talk to them and give them the update... I have been informing them that we may get over 50 cars and they were like ... the more the better! Plus they have a huge dining room that we have blocked off, and a reservation for 70 people as it stands (which can be increased or decreased as needed).

Two things, Ill go ahead and add you as likely, and also just to clarify, we meet this weekend at Bulls Run right, (you had the silver Porsche)... lol. I dont want to be assume then be wrong.
