So, hypothetically speaking, if there was someone from, say, York, PA that wanted to drop down to the Baltimore area and hook up for the drive over.... what would be a good place to meet up? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Since the drive starts south of you and goes northeast, there's really no "best route" for you unfortunately. You could drive all the way down to the first meeting spot to cruise with the VA/MD crew, you could meet us off I-95 in Delaware at the rest stop, or you could just go straight east to Philly. I can put out a feeler to see if there would be interest in a cruise from York.

If you do want to drive down to meet the VA/MD crew you're more than welcome to drive with me. I'm about 30-45 minutes south of you and Rockville is another 45 minutes south.

I'll be in the boat Kevin... We can arrange something or if you want we can cruise down to MD and head up with them.

hey kevin--

was parked next to you at hunt valley last week, blue 430--i'm gonna try to make this run. maybe we could have an unofficial meet in hunt valley with any others interested and coordinate an "on the fly" meet up with the rockville convoy somewhere along 95 near white marsh?

let me know if you have any interest--greg

That's a good idea too. In previous years we had multiple meeting points, one of which was the Ikea in White Marsh, but it just makes it too complicated trying to have 50-75 cars getting off the highway and then back on shortly after.

We could also call someone in the group that's meeting in Hunt Valley to let them know we're leaving Rockville, which gives you all time to take 83 to 695 to 95 towards White Marsh.

Guys be fore-warned this is Memorial day weekend TONS of cars and cops, traffic will be enormous...I would limit the number in pack driving, more chances for things to go wrong or draw police attention. I plan on cruising at my own pace and preferably without drawing negative attention. it's a fun event but the drive up is nutz, lots of people driving like complete yahoos and loose cannons. Be careful.

^^ Yes MD house is a nice spot, and it's a meeting place for everyone. I will then let the cowboy drivers ahead and hang back a bit for some clear roadway and then make my way at a liesurely pace.
