4th Annual VIR Track day 6/04/2012
#46
Yeah it was a great time. I needed a day or so of reflection to realize that I may have been bitten by the track bug.
Items/Memories of note:
Axxis Ultimate brake pads are a FAIL for VIR.
My driving skills leave much to be desired.
Sunir is the Rain Man of the track. He can't park a car in a mall parking lot but he can drive the crap out of a car on the track. "Yeah...definitely go fast...yeah...Judge Wapner..."
Ion is a surgeon on the track. I have to thank him for letting me drive his car. That takes a ton of trust and I know it's not easy. The GT-R is most impressive.
...and finally...for me, the quote of the weekend...."He's drowning in a motorboat."

That was a Toyota FRS. The owner bought it earlier that week and it only had 600 miles on the dial.
He was letting a lot of the instructors drive the car and by the end of the day the car literally had no pads left.
I never saw it on track which probably means it was moving pretty good.
