^^^ hows the mpg? I just need soemthing that will tow a car hauler and race car. nothing too extravagant, not modding anymore....modding days done. Buy it, drive it, and either keep it or sell it and move onto the next one...modding = pain is *** and loss of cash. Been there done that wayyyy too many times!

Im not against modded cars tho...I'll just let someone else mod it the way I like and pay 10 cents on the dollar, like it has been done too me so many times lol!! haha!

MPG is great. Everyone is showing 18-21 avg. My problem is my heavy foot and mobile office lifestyle. Sitting idle while at multiple jobsites on the phone and laptop have me only showing 12mpg.

Modding these is a piece of cake and very cheap considering. SCT flasher, air kit and exhaust tweak will get you 80+ and a more efficient mpg and simple tranny cleanup with a clunk many have complained about. For under $1,000 you have a sleeper. Towing the P, I never feel like it's an issue. No lag at all.

I'll vouch for Greg at MBS too. He did some work on my '95 Civic and made it look and sound amazing. Hard to believe for an n/a sohc civic right? lol well it's true. I'll be taking my other Civic there for a lightweight exhaust probably in the next couple of months. He does great work and is a very cool guy. A true car enthusiast.

Sounds good Scott. Any particular years or options/packages you recommend? Anything that screams red flag that I should stay away from?

I've always liked the F150 brand. I towed my race car with an F150 from 2003 - 2006 before switching to a Cummins powered TD. The F150 never once broke down on me, and was always tough and just an excellent relaible vehicle. Now with the Eco tech mpg for real world is possible so you can have a great DD and tow rig in one! I would not mind towing my car hauler & race car with an 150 again, what's the max payload, tongue and tow specs?

Taken from Ford's site:

And payload depends on a number of factors. It varies from 1500 lbs to 3700 lbs. Here's a chart for reference:

Thanks, Chris, for doing Sunir's homework. I'm at MBS now getting my MRBP modded to my specs with the Aero Turbine resonator so my turbos can sing loud and proud.

I never liked homework, hardly did it in school let alone on the interwebzzzzz !!!

I'm sure my friendly neigborhood ford dealer would love to blow my ear off about eco-tech specs....they love that thing! They talk about it more than the mustang!

Glad I came across this thread. I have an E90 M3 that I was planning on modding the exhaust. I will definitely be calling Greg this week.

Hey Greg, glad to see you found the site. You may want to mention in your Tercel intro thread that you are the guy at MBS. Sunir is a moderator here and may be able to let you identify yourself without having to get Vendor status.

I was going to call you in the morning. Need more work on it. Not diggin the sound. This round has too much drone and has the 'rice' sound under load. I'll call the shop in the morning if you are open.

Welcome to The 6.

Hi Greg welcome the the forum. You can post here as an enthusiast and as a resident expert and we welcome your thoughts, experience, and insights. Ya just can't advertise your business without garnering board sponsor status, no biggie pretty much the rule on most of the forums out there...you'll be able to PM as soon as your post count gets to 15, hang in there, as you continue to post you'll be past that threshold in not time at all.

We are glad you're here with us on the 6 Greg I've heard a lot of great things about you and your work and I look forward to possibly using your services in the future at some point.
