The only way we can park together is to get there early and the only way to potentially register late model exotics is to get there early ...BUT if they decline us registration to the event we are left sitting there holding the bag until 11am when the field opens to the gen public... this is sounding more and more of a cluster f**k each scenario we go thru. I'm 50/50 on this event at this point. It would bne nice to know policy on late model exotics prior to the show to make sure, I'd like to show the Aston if I can.

Sunir - Pretty sure the policy is on the show web site. I don't think they allow late model vehicles. I've been to this show as a spectator several times. They also have like marques parked together, so no chance a random group would be together unless something has changed this year. That said, it's a big and impressive show.

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst...

I didn't think the idea was to actually "show" at the event. But just to go park in the visitors lots together and enjoy the classic cars. If they let us park in the show field...great. If not...it's cool too.

@gt1995 - while the rules are clearly stated, it appears exceptions are made on an ad-hoc basis for newer exotic marquees. I know specifically of this being the case for Ferrari.

So maybe we just meet here at noon to walk the show, go down the road to Rockville town center for lunch then a cruise on the back roads of MoCo. Brink Road, Woodland, etc.

Yeah man...that sounds like a solid plan. I can definitely put us on some fun roads.

Boys...throwing this out there...I understand that Summit Point Kart has arrive and drive sessions on Saturday from 10am to 8pm. Perhaps our after Rockville drive takes us in that general direction?

I'll just leave this here...

Any pre-reqs for driving karts? I heard some tracks have some sort of driving lessons before getting on track. I'm game if it's truly "arrive and drive".

Yep. All they make you do is watch a short safety video as a first timer. They provide helmets too. I think it runs around $25/session. The session lasts 11 minutes. After 4 back to back, you'll be seeking a massage parlor. These are not amusement park karts. They hustle.

^ +1 on what Juan just put up. It is fun none the less, and if we get a good group going we'll have an absolute blast. I'll hopefully meet up with you guys at the show a little later, since I have to get the motorcycle worked on a bit this Saturday.

Okay guys I called Steve White and got a clarification on this whole thing. The show is for cars 25 years or older period. HOWEVER Ferrari club has rented a space at the event for their own event from the city running I guess in conjunction with this event. It is for this reason, late model (newer) Ferraris will be allowed into the event, This exception is for ONLY Ferraris, no Lambos, no Aston, no Veyron, no Koenigsegg, no Pegani, no JDM Supras, no R32 Skylines, no import hondas no other exotics, just Ferrari due to the Ferrari club involvement. If you have a Ferrari and would like to show it you can, just contact Steve he should be able to get ya set up.

Kool, this still qualifies as "arrive & drive" to me! I'm in.

Interesting how you didn't say "spa" So where's the "parlor" we're all going to afterwards?!
