2013 C & C, Great Falls, VA - Katie's
I've seen two Veyrons before but it doesn't mean I ever get tired of seeing them
It's a Messerschmitt right?

It's a Messerschmitt right?
o_O i can't wait! saw it at the audi headquarters and managed to snap ONE decent pic of it - had my friends shield the glare on the glass. can't wait to see/hear it.
Just ran into the car you guys are talking about. Parked in Chevy Chase. I asked the guys with it how fast they've gone in it and one said 205mph and the other 195mph lol. They said it will be at Katie's C&C this Saturday if anyone is going.

May not be going to Katie's if this guy buys it before then lol. The guy in the pink test drive it and wants to buy it. They said this one is $1.8million... If he does buy it, you guys may have a new friend lol

There is a red & black one that lives in Potomac. Don't recall if it is exact paint scheme as one pictured or not. I don't think it sees daylight much.
But my friend was instructing at Aston Martin Club event at Summit Fri. and said he talked to guy with car and said he was a mfg. rep.
I've heard there are only several people in US who work for Bugatti corp. and there are several retail dealers in the country but have heard if you "qualify" as a real potential buyer (however that qulaification is made) a rep. will come to you to pitch the car.
My co. did some work on a couple for VW NA couple years ago. One was a silver cabriolet or whatever they call it and the then CEO of VW NA (Jacoby I think his name was.... now CEO of Volvo global I think) took a liking to a silver one they had and decided he wanted to drive it around for days on end and I think the people responsible for it started having heart palpitations and decided they better do something to it to try and preserve its finish before it got destroyed.
I've probably seen 15-20 others over time at various palces, shows, Miami, Vegas. They are pretty crazy cars for sure. The engine bay lookms like a jewel box and the engine definitly a jewel. The ones I got intimate with had two keys, the first ("valet" if you will) only gave you 500.5 hp, and the second (the "red" key) went in a totally different slot and prompeted some kind of on-screen authentication that verified you were authorized to use "red" key and if you pass the on-screen test you get the second 500.5 hp. That removeable top one I think was also speed limited when the top was off if I recall correctly.
They also told me that when you need tires you have to just buy a whole new set of mounted wheels - not sure what happens to initial set... hopefully they put into rotation for you. Either way that is literally "stupid" money.

They pulled out the soft top to demonstrate how it goes on and off. It was pretty funny. The top folds up exactly like an umbrella. When it's layed out on the car you remove the "handle" part of the "umbrella" and there you go. It actually looks really bad and cheap when it's on there but I suppose you wouldn't be crusing around with the soft top on very often..
^^^ Dude how were you able to just happen to be there and take all those cool pics???Lucky!! yeah soft top is odd on hyper cars, they don't look right, the coupe looks natural ans is the original design, then they to a roadster version as an afterthought, look at the Murcialago the roadster is attrocious!
You should ask them if you can autox that beast!!! give it a nice orange cone mark on the bumper but get an FTD!!!

I walked out of the building, took a few pictures and asked some questions. Left and came back, as soon as I came back they had rolled up after the test drive and I hung out and talked to one of the reps for a while. Really nice guys.
I was tempted to tell them to bring it out to this weekends wdcr-scca autox events lol. Sadly I think my Civic would be faster than this thing at an autox. The guy I was talking to said they've taken these things out to numerous tracks and be said because of their weight they aren't the greatest out there but still loads of fun with the power. They do have ginormous 365 tires in the back though lol
