A good turnout for Father's Day 2013. One of the most interesting things that happened was a Cobra and what looked like an older competition Ferrari drove past our parking area, but did not stop. I grabbed my camera, but only got one poor shot of the second car, as it drive away. Anybody know what/who this is?
Other than that, a typically good amount and variety of vehicles in attendance.

A hot morning, but what a crowd! A decent-sized group of BRZ and FR-S drivers met at Fair Lakes early, but left shortly after I got there. We had three Ferrari Mondials there today, too.

What a marvelous day! The surprise appearance by the S1 Elise, owned by Rick and Sharon, was a highlight. This is one of the Sun International Honda-engined conversions. 240RWHP, 1600 lbs. Rare and beautiful, I just love this car! We hope they bring this car out more often. A bonus was that he has a Nurburgring sticker on the rear of the car... because he has driven this car on the 'Ring.
We talked this morning about the fact that the Elise S1's designer, Julian Thompson, wanted to design a minimalist sports car - like a motorbike with 4 wheels. I pointed out that Julian owned a Dino. The 5th pic shows a photo my wife took, years ago, at the Lotus Owners Gathering in Ohio. I see similarities in shape and some details of the S1.

Mark Franke drove his Esprit today. Mike brought his Porsche. Bob W. had a new 911. Chris N's Healey is amazing. My Jag XK Coupe was joined by a matching convertible.
