Thank you for the kind words. I'd also like to thank my lower back for allowing me to ride the bike. No one wants to see my new running style.

Here is my first ever attempt to do a video. This is the run from Katie's up to the Hunt Valley Horsepower event.

I'll try not to duplicate some of the photography from Chris. OK, I'll duplicate the fastest car from Saturday.

Thank you to everyone in attendance for the One-Year Anniversary! It was special in so many facets. I read an estimate of 825 show cars but we'll have to review the parking space count to come to a more exact figure. The original allotted space was set for 660 cars and it was expanded 3 times – in addition to the 'unofficial' parking nearer to Shawan Road, overflow at Wegmans and the impromptu parking for the GT-R Invasion from Katie’s Cars & Coffee. Bring all of that together and consider an overall headcount of approximately 2400! Truly unbelievable!

Thank you to the locals. Thank you to everyone from deep into Virginia and Pennsylvania, from Delaware, from New York and even North Carolina! Cars from all marques and generations gathered in a family-friendly atmosphere to appreciate the widest spectrum of cars and a fantastically-diverse group of people.

So this message doesn’t extend into newsletter format (like it did on Facebook and…the newsletter), I’ll list the thank you’s without waxing ecstatic on each. You already know that you’re #1, top-shelf awesome.

Andretti Autosport/Grand Prix of Baltimore (Indy Show Car), the Lucas family (helicopter), David Harrison (helicopter media), Silver Star Security, Baltimore County Police, Hunt Valley Towne Centre/Greenberg Gibbons Commercial (site host), Rite Way Valet and our volunteer parking directors, Boardwalk Fries (quick action on food and drink), A2Z, Inc. (Photo Booth app) and last but not least, Collectors Car Corral (our inaugural sponsor).

It all comes back to you. Thank you for participating and coming together to form such a special community. Everyone that took part on Saturday is invited to return each and every week. While we cannot expect to host over 800 car enthusiasts and 2400 people on a weekly basis, I would love to see each and every one of you return on your own rotation. When a Saturday morning has an open spot on the schedule, we'd be honored to see you again. We’ll be here every Saturday morning from 8-10. Thank you.

We'll be gathering in Hunt Valley at our normal time (8-10 a.m.) on Saturday morning but there's a special cruise set for Sunday...

Our sponsor - Collectors Car Corral - will be hosting an Open House from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Ferrari Club of America, a commemorative Ferrari 599 HGTE has embarked on a One Lap of America Celebration and will be arriving at Collectors Car Corral (12 Music Fair Road in Owings Mills) between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. It will be on-site for the remainder of the Open House. At each stop of the U.S. tour, the Ferrari Club of America is raising money for the Ronald McDonald House. Your donation can be made during the Open House but a donation is not required to attend.

Our cruise to CCC will leave from our normal gathering spot near Joe’s Crab Shack in Hunt Valley at 11:15 a.m. Please arrive a few minutes early. The cruise rules are simple. Drive safe and stay together. If there’s a break in the cruise line due to a stoplight or traffic, don’t fret. We’ll wait for you.

See you this weekend!

It was a pleasure meeting with so many members of the Ferrari Club of America yesterday. It was a gathering of fantastic cars and equally-fantastic owners and enthusiasts.

Below is a link to segments of yesterday's 45-minute cruise from Hunt Valley Towne Centre to Collectors Car Corral in Owings Mills. There's about 50 seconds of the cruise followed by 60 seconds of the arrival of the Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE and Ferrari Dino. Both cars are presently partaking in the 'One Lap of America' tour to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Ferrari Club of America.

The video is viewable on the Hunt Valley Horsepower Fan Page regardless of your Facebook membership status.

See you down the road!

This Saturday morning will feature top-quality cruise weather so if you’re in the region and have some open time on your schedule, visit us at Hunt Valley Horsepower between 8 and 10 a.m. Bring the friends. Bring the car club. Bring the family.

Be on the lookout for the announcement of our next special event. June 1 and June 15 are finalists but some final organizational facets must fall into place before an official announcement is made. The word will be broadcast far and wide so I’ll bet you won’t miss it.

Next week, Hunt Valley Horsepower will be signing the contract with Baltimore County’s Adopt-A-Road Program. For anyone that has done some cruising of the stellar country roads in ‘north county’, you may know the 3.6-mile stretch of Thornton Mill Road. We love driving our roads. If each of us gives a few minutes to revitalize our roads, it’ll make those drives even more special.

Here are a few photos that were recently uploaded to our Flickr Photography Page.

See you down the road at Hunt Valley Horsepower!
