Thanks for the reply! I may make it with my new-to-me Lotus Europa.

But I'm a bit of a Luddite...I'm on neither Facebook or Twitter!

Showed up today for the first time in the Lotus. There was a Nissan Leaf and Smart Four Two. That was it. Two golf carts. Hmmm.....

HV has taken alot of thunder. I was up there on Sat and it was very impressive. Its nice not having to drive for an 1hour in the dark to get to the Katies to be able to park with out a shuttle ride, lol. HV is a nice 15 min drive for me.

HV is a 45 mile drive for me, and in a vintage Lotus that is an iffy proposition.

I think that perhaps some of our "regulars", myself included, haven't been as regular as in years past... Hunt Valley has certainly become a huge venue and most definitely draws some away from our gathering on Saturday mornings (they really do a great job promoting, and I have spent more than a few mornings there myself)

That said, I'm going to make a point to come out this week, and I hope we have a good group!

Honestly part of the draw for ML for me personally was going to Tubby's afterwards...it really tied the morning together and made it worth the drive for me. I went for the camaraderie moreso than just the cars. Once that stopped, and now there are only 8-10 cars coming regularly (if that) and I don't even know half the people, there's less incentive for me.

ML used to be great for what it was but unfortunately now that we're coming up on colder weather the attendance will probably decline even more.

ML will succumb to HV eventually, even at this time it almost has with the exception of a few folks who are more a group of friends who occasionally meet at ML. The reason is very simple, Will works incredibly hard to make HV what it is, he's dedicated to it's success and growth. There is nobody like that for ML...without leadership and a strong driving force, a CnC will fail, the surrounding competition is just way too strong.

As crazy as it sounds, there still is a core group for Maple Lawn C/C. This core group does like to go to other venues Saturday mornings. Many times, we have met up early Saturday morning to go to these other events. Everyone is always welcome to precipitate. Some of the places we have gone this summer are Summit Point C/C, car show in Hershey, PA,and Harrisburg, PA, can't forget the 2 trips to Kevin's house for breakfast, 2 trips to Solomon's Island, Ocean City, Red Eyes Dock Bar, Philly Cheese Steak Run, Simone Museum, Brenton Woods Country Club for Bacon Bacon breakfast, Rockville Car Show and an Octoberfest in Rockville and MPACT. While it is nice to stand around in a parking lot for a couple of hours, I WANT TO DRIVE MY CAR!! Some people don't want to leave their cars in the garage ALL the time. Oh, and by the way, Saturday morning trips to Tuby's will resume shortly. And remember, you should never speed! I almost forgot about the trip to the Damascus car show. I never knew sherriff's wore bullet proof vests all the time. Please let me know your thoughts.
