pilotincommand is infamous around these parts
Hey folks, I have a 1996 Porsche 993 that is suffering from an electrical issue related to the immobilizer (alarm system). I've been chasing it for a few weeks now with no luck and am now in search of a local shop which is knowledgeable with the 993 (and more importantly, the 993 electrical system).

I'm in Rockville, MD but I'll go anywhere in the DC metro to find someone knowledgeable.

Thanks!

If anyone wants to save some $, I operate a shop out of my home garage. I'm an enthusiast who has been working on cars on the side for 15 years (Porsche, BMW, VW, Audi, Subaru, you name it). I focus on suspension installation, fender rolling, aftermarket parts installations, etc. I can do maintenance items including water pump replacement, drive/serpentine belt/idler pulley replacements, spark plugs/coil packs, engine mounts, etc. The only things I don't do involve cutting/welding. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions. References available upon request.

Jimmy at European Performance in Raleigh NC is hands down the best man for any job involving anything Porsche. He specializes in restoration. There isn't anything he can't do he's reputable, trustworthy and knowledgeable

Just got an alignment at RRT in NoVA a week after installing my H&R spring. Nice shop, friendly guys. Perfect street specs for $199 - feels awesome.
