Ran a Pontiac Solstice with a LS7 and 2 Cobras that just revved/begged to be waxed. All 3 normal locations were PACKED and some friends I havent seen in a while. Ran a nice sounding G8 with mods. Funny thing.... all night I was undefeated even in my stock turbo.

My sister lives in Cincinnati and its pretty boring. It would be a helluva lot better with a 2010 turbo in white though. :-)

Woodward was crazy that night. That's my friend David in the LS7 solstice. The car is quick. I saw him race a silver 996 turbo just north of normandy that night, and that 996 tt didn't fare as well as you. The guy shouldn't feel bad though, I ran him once in that car and it was a short race, but my 610 hp katech z06 that traps aroun 133-34 couldn't pull on it!

Wow I must have a factory freak. That was me. I have no go fast mods just replaced diverters with EVO units. Don't underestimate a turbo even with only 415hp. I would think that big motor in a little car with and decent trans/gearing would smoke a stock 996tt. I guess not....

It is much better but still it doesn't matter what you have if there is no one out to run with real cars. I will make it up to woodward fro sure this year sometime.

Obvoiusly the dream cruise would be the best time. For the last 7-8 years 2 friends come from KY every cruise to enjoy the mayhem. As you know the week of an get super hectic and parking is just not possible within a mile of the strip. I live off Woodward right at ground zero and always have spots saved at my house. If you plan on attending just let me know. The festivities at my house at night are always a great time as well.

just wanted to give everyone an update. We are close to defining a new location. Should have it listed by mid next week. Hope to see you all at the new location.

Finally getting somewhere with defining a new location. Started a discussion on the facebook page so feel free to respond there or in here ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gi...31&topic=13931) :
Since we don't have access to a poll, I figured we could use the discussion board for people to chime in with their thoughts. Here are the two best options we could come up with for our new location:
1) Kart 2 Kart @ 18.5 mile and Van Dyke. We could change the name to Cars, Coffee, and Karts . Kart 2 Kart would love to have us and would open early for us. They don't have breakfast available but they do have coffee along with other beverages. They also have 175 parking spots available and we are open to use their facilities. They have their own lot so should be no issues with other customers complaining or the police. Could be a lot of fun talking cars and then doing a couple laps to let people back up their claims.
2) Anton's restaurant on Big Beaver and Dequindre. Fellow car guy who has about 60~70 spots available. Tables are available for sitting for those who would like to go inside and there is a drive up coffee stand. Lot is shared with other businesses but the owner says he has hosted car meets before with no issues from police. He said we are welcome to use the facilities also and he would offer us a 10~15% discount.
Discuss away...

X2. It would be nice to be able to park and then grab some breakfast inside Anton's, and come right back out and chit chat. That way we could provide them business, but it isn't quite as involved as karting. Just a thought.

Anton's would be more fitting IMO+ more more of a central location.

I'm biased, Anton's is less than 1mi. from my house so it's ideal for me, but I do like the idea of being able to get food over the more limited facilities of K2K. Plus, it's a very visible location and can maybe draw additional business for Anton's if the parking lot looks interesting. It gets my vote.
