Radar/Laser in Ohio...?
Hello I just returned to Ohio/Cincinnati from living abroad for 3 years...
Was wondering if some one can fill me in on what the scene is regarding the police/HWY Patrol using radars, lasers... Basically what is used by law enforcement in Ohio and the rears around... Recommendations on Radar detectors, laser sifter would also be welcomed.

you will see almost everything.
Laser on the interstates and toll ways. Radar in the more rural areas.

I use a Valentine one with a passport that has the laser jammer shifter thing

 

I use V1 and Escort ZR4 laser jammer. Ohio does have traffic monitors that send radar out to think you are being hit which is EXTREMELY annoying. V1 settings can be adjusted for this. http://www.valentine1.com/v1info/tra...tor_filter.asp

Are laser jammers illegal in most states, including ohio?

I'm thinking about getting one and doing research soon

 

Just curious as to why folks use a V-1 and Escort shifters? I'm installing a Escort 9500ci myself next week. I'm an Escort dealer and have been using them for several years. I really like the range, but would like to know why the V-1 is preferred here. Sorry for the hi-jack!
