need mini assistance -SC and Pulley
One of my employees has a '02 Mini S and his supercharger has gone bad. ie makes metal to metal sound. Before he orders a factory one for $1200, I figured I'd ask the mini tuners if there was a source cheaper. ANy suggestions??
He is also looking for more HP so can anyone recommend a Pully/chip company. Nothing off the charts, but good dependable power upgrade. Thanks for your input!

Morristown MINI (http://www.morristownmini.com/) has great prices on oem parts. the new superchargers (05+) have a coating for reduced friction. as for pullies, brand isn't too important. 15% is totally safe and will add a significant power increase alone. i run a 15% pulley because i rev to 8k on the track and i am in heat-soaked florida. a little more boost w/ the 17% pulley. most would say thay this is a safe choice. 19% pullies give more boost but can overspin the waterpump (cavitation) and create too much heat. Don Behe (http://www.luckydoggarage.com/tuning.html) is in Howard County. He dyno-tuned my car the the results were good. not spectacular increases in peak numbers, but the car pulls better everywhere.
