KPV,
I own the NYCMMG Yahoo group. New York City Metro Mini Group. We had a few meets in conjuction with Lori Abrams, formerly of Westchester MINI. If want a fun driving route, try Hawk's Nest.

MacNCheese,
Are your meets drives or just gatherings? Where do you typically go?
Can you shed some additional ight on Hawk's Nest? I have heard of it but don't know where it is.

I've only gone on a few myself as my mini is a piece of junk but there have been some rides up to bear mountain, a party at westchester, a dyno day at Helix, etc. We mix it up.
Theres a little restaurant up at Hawk's Nest called.... The Hawk's Nest Cafe. Its illegal that you own those cars and havent been there.

Hawk's Nest is in NY, I believe, just beyond the northwesternmost corner of
NJ. Mac, are you referring to the Hawk's Nest Inn? Burned down. Though there is supposed to be another decent restaurant in Port Jervis. I went canoeing up there a couple of times this past summer. Gee , I guess summer is past.

I don't really know the area, this summer was my first time up there, and I basically just met other MINI's and went canoeing. I know the river better than I know the roads!

If Mac could provide some details on a previous route, that would be a start. I'll give some thought to other ideas.

Sorry man. I dont have time to plan anything huge anymore. Grad school absorbs all of my free time. I can point you in some good directions tho!?

The address of the (former) Hawk's Nest Cafe is:

601 State Route 97
Sparrow Bush, NY 12780-5404

May not be able to eat/drink there but it least you can get there via mapquest! This restaurant is right on "the" road.

Not sure where everyone is coming from but you'll most likely be taking 23N up there so pick some place on 23 to meet. Bachagaloops is a funny place if you've never been there before (make your own pizza). Otherwise there is justabout everything else on that road.

Bachagaloops? That's funny. Grew up in that area and never went in there. I had no idea you made your own pizza. Learn something new everyday.

I grew up in Nutley and I went to a party at Bachagaloops once.
