My wife loves the look of the Mini

and she wants one to drive to work. She commutes two to three times a week on CA highways approximately 110 miles one way.
She is driving a Cayenne S now.

How is the car on highways particularly for long periods of time?

Any other issue I should know about? I am trying to convince her to get a Prius but not making much headway.

great cars. Alot of fun. Drove one while staying with my uncle. Not the fastest of cars but a great cummuter car.

I personally prefer the old minis but thats me.

I drive to Connecticut every week, 3 1/2 - 4 hours each way. Plus lots of other driving. Did 20,000+ in the last 6 months.

Compared to a "luxury" vehicle, there will be some road noise and she'll definitely feel the road. That's always the types of cars that I've been in so it doesn't bother me.

The MINI is very stable on the highway at higher speeds, very nimble. I have the MCS. I love it! No center armrest, but I've never had one and therefore don't miss it.

Word of warning: I went for 10 years with no speeding tickets, got 2 in one month within several months of driving the MINI! It's just so much fun!

If she's likely to get stuck in traffic frequently, she might not like the stick, but I know no other way!

Good luck with your decision!

It is a very comfortable car. It is stabile right up to its top speed and you can feel its build quality with each bump and shut of the door.
