Just spent 12 months rebuilding my 1999 996 Cab and in the final stages of registration. The cab roof won't open and I need to manually raise the roof to inspect wiring etc. Having refitted much of the internal mouldings, seats etc around the Soft top And aware of the operation system, I am still unable to raise the roof manually.

I understand the link cables need releasing either side but I am sure the hydraulic pressure also needs releasing. Can someone advise the trick to raising the roof manually. The electrics don't function, I believe there could be damage to the wiring!
