Newbie here - Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

Hey Guys,

Just joined the forum, in search for some answers .

I bought 2007 Cayenne v6 about a year ago and then sold that and bought 2006 Cayenne Turbo S in London. Didn't quite know a whole lot about things and partly blame my trustworthy nature (the guy clearly lied to me about alot of things) - as soon as I bought it and hit the highway, the car started knocking etc. After research I found out that it must be misfiring and help of a diagnostic tool that got confirmed. Sent car to an Independent Porsche Garage outside of London and after a very costly repair - got the spark plugs and ignition coils changed, part service done, and there was a camshaft error showing up which after they kept the car for 4 weeks and having changed sensors without any luck they found out the cam timing was out so they fixed that as well. Also replaced rear brakes. So once I thought everything was fine, I got the interior fully customised in Coral Red with Diamond stiching and carbon fibre dipped trim.

Since then I have moved to New Zealand and shipped my car here as well. In the process of getting compliance done on it and the front Brake Discs have rusted so gotta change that. And guess what, they are NZD $1400 + GST each!! Porsche gave me a quote for front brake parts of NZD $4300 excluding labour. I have already spent so much money on this car, probably around the same amount that the I bought the car for .

So does anyone know if I can get cheaper 380mm x 38mm front Discs somewhere or whether there are any aftermarket ones for it? Could not find anything everywhere I checked.

This is probably not the right place to post this?

cheers,
Riz

First, welcome to 6Speed! You may have better luck in the Cayenne specific section of the forum.

Unfortunately those brake rotors are extremely expensive as they're a 2 piece and have aluminum hats. Part # 955-351-401-61 here.
