New to me in Louisiana, U.S., a silver porsche 911 carrera 4s. Received it yesterday. Will try to hard wire radar detector tonight. will post pics soon i hope

Pelican parts, are you in Louisiana? (I ask b/c the pelican is our state bird, a name used with pride by businesses here !) So is the Carrera called a '997'?

We actually are located in Southern California! Yes, the 996 is 1999-2005, 997 is 2005-2012, and the 991 is 2012-current. There are split years too, meaning the later model 997 and 991 are considered 997.2 and 991.2.
