Hello from Chicago
Hello from Chicago
Hello Everyone!
My name's Jack and I'm from the Chicago area. My current project is a 69 Camaro. The goal is to make it be able to run road courses and handle better than a stock Camaro.
So far I've been working on the sheetmetal work, which is getting closer to completion. I'm planning on running a square 315 setup with the suspension components I've ordered (custom subframe, 3/4 link in back). Further plans include a cage/ roll bar, as well as a LS/T56 combo.
I joined because I've always had a huge interest in Porsches and this seems the place to be for that haha, maybe one I'll snag a 930 after I'm done with my Camaro, it's too bad they're so expensive!

Welcome. Yeah, it would have been good to start that 930 project about five years ago. I blew my chance and I'm now looking at water-cooled models.
I used to have a '68 Camaro that I completely re-did. I seriously wish I had that car back.
Start a thread in the American muscle car forum with some photos - love to see it progress.

I'll probably write up a build thread with all the photos I have taken so far once my suspension arrives, which should be shortly!
Welcome on board, Jack! Glad to have you here. Share with us more details about your project and post few pictures when you have a chance. This place is a great resource, hope you stick around and find it useful!
