If you research coolant leaks on 997.1 engines and 996 too....you will find many posts on this issue. I just had my engine out 07 TT with 31k miles to address (have pinned) slipped cam shaft sleeves under an extended warranty, and while the motor was down had all the coolant fittings welded, put in a sharkwerks kit, and replaced hoses, seals, o-rings and water pump. The coolant system fix is about a $5+k job at a good independent shop. The specific source of your leak could be a hose or connection, but what you described is probably the bad OE glue failing at a fitting somewhere out of sight and inaccessibly located on top of the engine. Good luck!
