Hello all,

Just won (well, I was only the high bidder, missed reserve but worked out a deal) a 996 Turbo, 6 speed w/ x50 package on BaT. This is my first Porsche.

Very excited, and will be flying out to get it soon (NY needs original title which we have to wait for the lien holder to get us, and an original bill of sale, so we have a bit of mailing things back and forth before I can register and fly out with plates). Got a ~900 mile trip back home that I'm gonna do with a buddy of mine, although I almost feel bad doing it because of the low mileage it has.

Plan to drive it quite a bit, (but for me that's probably only 2-3k miles a year). I'm going to try and leave it stock for a wile, if I can... I'll probably end up with a tune and louder exhaust at some point though. I have a few other cars (which I need to get rid of one or two...) 04 CTS-V, 97 M-edition Miata, 16 GTI w/ DSG (was for the wife) and a 16 Youkon XL Denali which is now the kid hauler, and hopefully I can get a trailer for it for some potential track days.

Looking forward to the drive back (tentatively in 2 weeks), and trying to fit my kids in the back seat to scare the crap out of them =)
