Hello 6SpeedOnline
My name is Rob and I live in CO and have been a car enthuiast since I built a 1962 Corvette with my dad and brothers in the early 80s. As a life long Porshe buff, I am looking to the forum to see what people feel are the most reliable 911s out there. I.E. I am infatuated with the 993's and air cooled, but also excited by the 997.2 and 991s. Being the father of 5 kids, I have delayed my first Porsche purchase long enough and looking to the more knowledgeable PCA members to help a brother out. Thank you.

Welcome to the 6! I too love a 964 or 993 and most 911's are very reliable even the first generation as long as they are maintained appropriately. The newer the car the more reliability you should see as a generalization. I had a customer years ago with 300K on a daily-driven 993 C4S. Bought it new and took care of it.

Thanks ......
......for that piece is wisdom and insight as I assumed as much. Would enjoy hearing the perspectives of other owners too, particularly ones who have owned multiple generations of the Carrera. Keep me coming and thanks again for the reply.
