Hi all. Quick introduction to serve as background for my future posts. I’m a 53 year old professional in the Chicago suburbs. My turns on include long drives on winding roads, exciting laps around tracks and the sound of a flat-out flat 6. My turn offs are high maintenance cars and wasting money.

I’m not yet a Porsche owner, but I’m planning to buy a previously loved 911 this year. I was one of the many kids with a poster of a 911 Turbo on the wall sandwiched between Farrah Fawcett and Loni Anderson. It’s always been my dream car, and I’m finally at a point in my life where I ave the financial means and work/life flexibility to enjoy one as a daily driver. I’m still researching to see what I really want, but it’ll be a 991.2 C2, C2S, C4 or C4S.

From what I’ve seen, there’s some great expertise on this site, and I’d hope to be able to bounce questions off of some of you to get your perspectives on your decision/buying experiences, tips for a new owner (when that time comes) and advice on living with a 911 as a daily.
