My name is Mikey Vigil and I purchased Charlie's 2004 Porsche 996 turbo approximately 2 months ago. Car was shipped from NJ to AK without issue and I'm now trying to enjoy it as much as I can before she goes into hibernation for the winter. The car was tuned by AIM Performance to 700 hp at the wheels. I spoke to my buddy who owns the local indie shop (Culmination Motorsports) and we have talked about some modifications (e.g., brake upgrade, shifter upgrade, spherical bushings, etc.). We may even do a winter project to upgrade internals for a possible 4-digit horsepower output. I corresponded with Joe S. at AIM and he stated it is relatively easy to push that much horsepower in the 996. Seeing as I won't be shipping the car back to NJ to AIM for the build, I'll see if there can be a collaboration between AIM and Culmination.
The first upgrade is to clean up the slop in the shifter. I just ordered a CAE shifter with cables from Rennlist. This is my first Porsche but likely not my last! Now onto some pics! Cheers!
