Hello from ATL - 1st Porsche, 1st 911 (997.2 C2S)

Hello - new member here, excited to join the community.

This past summer I purchased my first Porsche and first 911, and I look forward to sharing my journey here with the forum.

Cheers!

Photos during shipping and arrival

I ended up purchasing a 2009 997.2 C2S PDK car!

I couldn’t find the spec and mileage I was looking for in the Atlanta area, so searched nationwide and had the car shipped.

I opted for shipping enclosed, which ended up being a good idea. During summer 2020, open trailers were backlogged from West Coast to the Southeast due to large Tesla (model 3 and Y) shipments.

Pics from arrival day! The car made it across the country 6 days after pickup!

In the garage!

Terrific find! Dump question perhaps, but is the car black or dark blue? And, I have to ask about your garage floor. Can you tell us what that product is and how it installs? I have to say that looks to be about the finest install and floor I have seen. Would love to do something like that with my garage. Thanks for your post!

Midnight Blue Metallic and TrueLock HD Extreme tiles

Thanks! I appreciate the comments.

The color is Midnight Blue Metallic. It’s a very deep blue with some nice metallic flake in the right sunlight.

Happy to share about the garage tile. That is the TrueLock HD Extreme Coin tile from Garage Floor LLC. The colors are alloy (silver) and white, and they are 1ft squares.

In my opinion the quality, customer experience, and price of the HD Extreme tiles from Garage Floor LLC were great. I had also researched RaceDeck and SwissTrax (which are probably the best money no object options) and after a year I am thrilled with the product.

Thanks for the link. Is the floor easy to clean and can you sweep it with a broom easily? I didn't realize it had a texture like that. It looks great!
