Good times with my v8v

Hi there all, I have an 07 v8v which I love and lightly modify. To date I have installed a carbon fiber interior, carbon ceramic brakes, catch can, VAP tune, and race cats.

Awesome car! I just bought an '07 V8V 6-speed coupe...my first Aston after a whole bunch of German cars. So far, so good! No mods yet...

I cannot recommend enough getting the velocity AP tune. It enormously improved the responsiveness of the motor across the board and my enjoyment of the car. If you couple it with their high flow cats you will gain a little more power as well and a whole lot more noise which I love.

I previously had the quicksilver super sport muffler kit which was too loud at idle and not quite loud enough under full throttle, it was also slightly too deep for my liking, making it sound like a muscle car and losing its high pitch exotic scream.

I then added the race cats with the quicksilver and it was so loud it would make your ears bleed.

Finally I reinstalled the factory muffler coupled with the high flow cats and have found my nirvana. To some it is still too loud, it lightly burbles at idle, very little more that stock, but under heavy throttle it absolutely screams.

Awesome info, thanks...i have heard lots of good things about Velocity AP. I'm typically not huge into tuning but likely to go the AP route eventually...with the 'fuse 22' mod my stock exhaust sounds great to my ear, but I'd love a better throttle response. Right now concentrating on sorting little things (replaced O2 sensors, PCV breather valve, airboxes chasing a CEL, plus small cosmetic fixes like refinishing the wheels and spacers ) but i have put 2,500 miles on it in the first month and I'm blown away by the dynamics of the chassis, the fit and finish and just how damn pretty the thing is. I'm a Porsche guy through and through but this thing just feels special in a way most modern Porsche don't.

Where are you located? I'm in central Virginia.
