I’ve checked out the forum for a few years. It’s time to register. My automotive interest started with rowing the gears in a ‘92 prelude parked in the garage. A few drives when I turned 15 and my dad figured out it was a good idea to get rid of the car before I turned 16. He was right. The next adventure was fixing up a ‘56 Ford F100, keeping an ‘87 accord running until 220k miles and doing body work and custom step bars and bumper on an ‘85 k5 Blazer. I did a couple paint jobs on sport motorcycles and then fixed and painted a ‘58 Chevy with a fiberglass front end. All of those were father son projects. Out on my own I kept the passion alive with a 2003 Acura rsx type S that I installed a custom ecu and Jackson racing supercharger. That got traded for a 2004 s2000. It got rear ended which I bought as salvage from the insurance company and parted out. That was fun and lucrative. I learned every nut and bolt. The proceeds went to a 2005 S2000 I kept for about 10 years until the wife and kids came along. That had me targeting something with high performance 4 seats. I was not up to speed on the 911 market, but surfing around for a while it didn’t take too long to come up with a 996 turbo as a great value option. That’s where I am today. 2004 996 turbo cab. Black. 50k miles.
